Hello I live in Central Il. My husband and I have 4 children together and he has 3 from a previous relationship. We are in need of help to give our children a Christmas we can not afford ourselves. This year has been very hard on us as a family. We have lost two very close family members this year and it has taken a toll on us. One died in January and one in July. My husband also lost his job in October and we have been barely scraping by. We are both in school to finish our degrees mine in social work and my husband for auto mechanics. We want the best for our children but these times have been really tough. It feels as though we are being punished for doing the right thing. We have sold things and pawned things just to pay the bills. We try to keep a strong face but we would be heartbroken to not be able to give our kids a Christmas. We usually get them signed up with salvation army's toys for tots but since we can't afford a cell phone I didn't find out about the days for that until it was too late and we missed sign up. We have 4 boys and 3 girls. We are fighting for full custody of my husbands children because their mother does drugs and mentally abuses them.all of this is so hard that our one wish this holiday season would be for the kids to not know how much we are suffering and just be able to enjoy Christmas. They deserve that much. We really hope someone will feel it in their heart to help our family. Thank you and God bless.
